Al Taher Group is a curtain wall contractor based in Fujairah. We supply, fabricate and install aluminium curtain wall systems from our own workshop in the Al Hail Industrial Area, serving Fujairah, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain. That includes stick-built and unitised systems, structural glazing, spandrel panels, capped and silicone-glazed facades, and the aluminium framing behind them — fabricated, powder-coated and installed by our own team rather than subcontracted out.

How we work

  1. Free site visit within 48 hours — we measure the actual structure, not a drawing.
  2. Itemised quotation within 24 hours of the visit — materials, finish, hardware and installation priced line by line.
  3. Fabrication in our own Fujairah workshop — no subcontracting.
  4. Installation by our own team, with committed dates written into the quotation.

What curtain wall work do we deliver?

  • Stick-built curtain wall — mullions and transoms assembled on site, glazed in place. The flexible, cost-effective route for low- and mid-rise buildings and irregular elevations.
  • Unitised curtain wall — factory-assembled panels lifted and locked into place. Faster on site, tighter tolerances, better suited to repetitive elevations and taller buildings.
  • Structural silicone glazing — glass bonded to the frame for an uninterrupted external glass plane with no visible caps.
  • Capped and pressure-plate systems — visible aluminium caps in any powder-coat colour, the workhorse detail for commercial facades.
  • Spandrel and shadow-box panels — concealing slab edges and services between floors.
  • Aluminium cladding and ACP facades — often specified alongside glazed elevations. Facade & cladding →
  • Shopfronts and entrance screens — the ground-floor interface, matched to the facade above.

Stick or unitised — which suits your building?

The honest answer depends on repetition and programme, not prestige. Stick systems are assembled and glazed on site, which keeps material costs lower and copes well with elevations that change floor to floor — most Fujairah and Northern Emirates commercial buildings fall here. Unitised systems move the labour into the workshop: panels arrive complete, get craned into place, and the building envelope closes far faster, which matters when the programme is tight or access is difficult. Unitised costs more per square metre but buys back time on site. We fabricate both and will tell you plainly which one your building actually needs.

What does the UAE climate demand from a facade?

Three things drive the specification here. Solar gain — Low-E coated double glazing is effectively standard, because an uncoated glass facade turns the top floors into an air-conditioning problem that never goes away. Thermal movement — aluminium expands measurably across a 45°C summer day, so the system's expansion joints and gasket allowances have to be right or the facade will creak, leak or crack sealant within a couple of years. Coastal exposure — on the East Coast in particular, salt-laden air attacks coatings and fixings, which is why we powder-coat in our own line and specify corrosion-resistant fixings on anything exposed. Who do we work with?

Main contractors, developers, consultants and interior fit-out firms — plus direct clients on hotel, retail and villa projects. We quote from drawings, work to a main contractor's programme, and carry out our own site survey before fabrication. For fit-out companies, curtain walling and structural glazing are typically the trades not held in-house, so we function as that scope rather than as a competitor on joinery. Why does in-house fabrication matter on a facade?

Because a facade is the one element you cannot easily fix later. Once glazing is installed at height, remedial work means access equipment, programme disruption and cost. When cutting, machining, glazing, powder coating and installation all sit under one roof — as they do here — tolerances stay consistent from workshop to site and there is a single team accountable for the sealed result. Where a design calls for laser-cut components we work with specialist partners for that step; everything else is ours.

Where do we install curtain walls?

Across all seven emirates from our Fujairah base. Fujairah and the East Coast are our home ground — Kalba, Dibba, Khor Fakkan, Masafi and the industrial areas — with regular work in Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Abu Dhabi. Being on the East Coast is a genuine advantage for Fujairah and Khor Fakkan projects, where most curtain wall contractors are quoting from two hours away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Al Taher install curtain walls in Fujairah?

Yes. We are based in the Al Hail Industrial Area, Fujairah, and we supply, fabricate and install curtain wall and structural glazing systems from that workshop — for projects in Fujairah, Khor Fakkan, Dibba, Kalba and across all seven emirates.

What is the difference between stick and unitised curtain wall?

Stick systems are assembled and glazed on site from individual mullions and transoms — flexible and lower in material cost. Unitised systems arrive as factory-assembled panels that are craned into place, which is faster on site with tighter tolerances but higher cost per square metre. We fabricate both.

How much does a curtain wall cost in the UAE?

It is priced per square metre of elevation and driven by system type, glass specification, panel sizes and access. Stick systems generally sit below unitised for the same area. Because the variables are large, we survey the building before quoting and issue an itemised quotation within 24 hours of that visit.

What glass do you use for curtain walls?

Double-glazed insulated units with Low-E coatings as standard for the UAE, and laminated glass where safety or overhead glazing requires it. Spandrel zones use back-painted or shadow-box panels. Final specification depends on orientation, solar load and any consultant requirements.

Do you work as a subcontractor to main contractors?

Yes. We work to main contractor programmes, quote from tender drawings and carry out our own site survey and installation. We can also handle adjacent scope — cladding, shopfronts, aluminium windows and doors — under the same package.
