Al Taher fabricates and installs aluminium cladding and facade systems from our Fujairah workshop for commercial buildings, retail units, hotels and villas across all seven emirates. What do we deliver?

Why does the sub-frame matter more than the panel?
Most visible cladding failures — waviness, oil-canning, panels that drum in the wind — start behind the panel, not on it. An undersized or poorly aligned sub-frame telegraphs through the facade, and no amount of panel quality hides it. Because we fabricate the sub-frame and install the cladding, the two are engineered together rather than one being fitted to whatever the other left behind.
What happens when cladding and glazing meet?
Most facades combine glazed and solid zones. When cladding and curtain walling come from two contractors, the junction between them is where water ingress and mismatched tolerances appear. Handling both means one interface detail, one team, and one party responsible for the sealed line between them.
How does coastal exposure shape the finish?

How does a cladding project actually run?
In five controlled steps, and the sequence is the quality system. First, survey: we measure the elevation as built, map substrate conditions and fixing points, and agree panel module sizes against the architectural intent. Second, sub-frame design: support spacing, bracket types and thermal-movement allowance are engineered before a single panel is cut — this is the step that decides whether the facade reads flat in raking light. Third, fabrication: panels are routed, folded and coated in the workshop, batched so the whole elevation shares one colour run. Fourth, installation: sub-frame first, checked for line and level, then panels with consistent joint widths and sealed interfaces at copings, openings and penetrations. Fifth, closeout: a joint-by-joint inspection with any panel showing damage or deflection replaced before handover, and the maintenance guidance handed across. Where the elevation includes glazed zones, the curtain wall interface is detailed by the same team at step two rather than negotiated between two contractors at step four — which is precisely where mixed-contractor facades leak. On refurbishment projects we survey the existing facade first: what the current cladding is fixed to, whether the sub-frame is reusable, and what the removal sequencing means for weather protection while the building stays occupied. Phased replacement — elevation by elevation, with each face closed and sealed before the next opens — keeps a working building dry and presentable throughout, and the final elevation runs through the same colour batch as the first so the completed facade reads as one job.

Can you handle both the cladding and the glazing on a facade?
Yes, and it is the better arrangement. When cladding and curtain walling come from separate contractors, the junction between them is the usual weak point. Doing both means one detail and one accountable team.
What causes cladding panels to look wavy?
Usually the sub-frame, not the panel — misalignment, inadequate support spacing or thermal movement not allowed for. We fabricate the sub-frame ourselves so the support and the panel are engineered as one system.
Do you work for main contractors on facade packages?
Yes. We quote from tender drawings, work to main contractor programmes, and carry out our own site survey, fabrication and installation, including adjacent scope such as shopfronts and aluminium windows.
Can you replace damaged panels on an existing facade?
Usually, yes. We assess the existing system and sub-frame, match or re-fabricate panels to the original module, and coat them to match the weathered colour as closely as the batch allows. Where the original cladding was fixed to an inadequate sub-frame we will say so, because replacing panels onto a failing support wastes money.
