Aluminium or steel?
Aluminium for most residential pergolas; steel when the span or load demands it. Aluminium does not rust, weighs less, and takes powder coating beautifully — which makes it the sensible default within reach of the sea. Steel is stronger per section, so it wins on long unsupported spans, heavy louvre assemblies and structures carrying a solid or glazed roof. Properly prepared and coated, steel performs well here too; the failure mode is always the coating, not the metal.
Louvres, solid roof or open frame?
Open frames with climbing planting look best but shade least. Fixed louvres give controlled shade and let hot air escape — the best all-round choice for a UAE majlis or seating area. Solid and glazed roofs give full protection from dust and winter rain, at the cost of airflow and a higher structural load. What about car shades and carports?
Car protection is its own engineering problem, and the UAE sun is the reason it pays for itself. Cabin temperatures in an unshaded car regularly become punishing, and long-term UV exposure fades paint and perishes trims — a properly designed shade removes most of that. We build fixed-roof carports in solid aluminium sheet or insulated panels for full dust and rain protection, and slatted or louvred versions where airflow matters more. Single, double and multi-bay layouts are all routine; the survey determines span, column positions that do not obstruct door swing, and drainage falls so winter rain sheds away from the parking bay rather than onto it. Wall-mounted designs suit tight side plots where a column line would block access. Every structure is powder-coated in the same batch philosophy as the rest of the property — matched to the villa gate and boundary railings where they exist — and anchored to engineered footings sized for wind load, not simply bolted to the slab and hoped for. Lighting and power are worth deciding at design stage rather than after: cable routes hidden inside posts and beams, fittings rated for outdoor coastal use, and switching positioned where you actually sit. Retrofitting conduit onto a finished structure never looks as clean. We also integrate fans, misting lines and screening panels where the design calls for them — specified with the structure so the loads and fixings are engineered rather than improvised.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a pergola take to build and install?
Most residential pergolas and car shades are fabricated and installed within 2–3 weeks of design approval, depending on size, roof type and finish. Committed dates go into the quotation.
Will an aluminium pergola survive coastal weather in Fujairah?
Yes — aluminium does not rust, which is why we recommend it near the sea. What matters is the coating quality on top: we powder-coat in our own line at proper film thickness, which is the step that decides whether the structure still looks right after several summers.
Can you build a car shade for more than one vehicle?
Yes. Multi-bay car ports and car shades are routine, fixed to ground or wall-mounted depending on the layout. We survey the space and advise on span, column positions and drainage before quoting.
Do you make pergolas with wood or WPC accents?
Yes. A metal structure with timber or WPC slats is a common request, and because carpentry sits in the same workshop the finishes are matched rather than approximated across two suppliers.
Do pergolas need municipality approval?
Fixed outdoor structures can require permission depending on the emirate, the community and whether the structure attaches to the villa. Requirements vary by location, so we advise during the site visit and can provide the drawings and specifications an application needs.
