Why powder coating rather than paint?
Powder coating is electrostatically applied and oven-cured, so it bonds into a continuous, chip-resistant film rather than sitting on the surface as a skin. On outdoor metalwork in the UAE that difference shows within a couple of years: wet paint chalks, fades and lifts at edges, while a properly cured powder finish holds colour and adhesion far longer. What does the East Coast demand from a coating?
Salt-laden air finds every weakness in a coating — thin spots on edges, uncoated drill points, poor surface preparation before coating. That is why preparation is most of the job: degreasing, mechanical preparation and correct pre-treatment determine adhesion far more than the powder itself. A cheap coating job usually looks identical on day one and visibly different by the second summer.
Which finishes are available?

What do we coat?
Our own fabricated work — gates, railings, pergolas, window and door frames, structural steel and sheet metal — plus trade work for contractors who need consistent, properly prepared finishing. Because it happens in the same building as fabrication, a full project's gate, railings and pergola can run through the same colour batch instead of being matched by eye across three suppliers.
How does the process work, step by step?
Five stages, and the first two decide the outcome. One: degreasing and cleaning — every trace of oil, weld residue and mill scale comes off, because coating over contamination guarantees failure. Two: surface preparation and pre-treatment — mechanical preparation followed by conversion coating that gives the powder something to bond to; this is where lifespan is actually determined. Three: electrostatic application — charged powder wraps the earthed workpiece, reaching faces, edges and returns evenly. Four: oven curing at controlled temperature and time, fusing the powder into a continuous cross-linked film; under- or over-curing both compromise the finish, which is why the schedule is instrumented rather than judged by eye. Five: inspection — film thickness checked at edges and drill points, the exact places cheap coating skimps, with colour and gloss verified against the batch standard. The whole cycle happens in one building, so a gate fabricated on Monday is not waiting in a courier loop — it moves to preparation the same week and comes back in the project's colour batch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you powder coat items you did not fabricate?
Yes. We take trade and contractor work as well as our own fabrication, subject to size and preparation requirements. Send dimensions and the finish you need and we will advise during the site visit or by WhatsApp.
How long does powder coating last in the UAE?
Correctly prepared and cured powder coating substantially outlasts wet paint on outdoor metalwork here — commonly many years before any visible chalking, versus a couple of seasons for cheap paint. Lifespan is driven by preparation quality, film thickness and exposure to salt air.
Can you match a specific RAL colour across a whole project?
Yes — and running the whole project through one line is the point. Gate, railings, pergola and window frames coated in the same batch avoid the slight shade mismatches that appear when pieces go to different coaters.
Is powder coating better than anodising for aluminium?
They serve different purposes. Anodising gives a hard integral oxide layer in a limited palette; powder coating gives an enormous colour range and easier repair. For UAE architectural and residential work, powder coating is the more practical choice in most cases.
Can old or rusty metalwork be re-coated?
Often, yes — if the base metal is structurally sound. The existing failed coating is stripped, corrosion is mechanically removed, and the piece goes through full pre-treatment before coating. Re-coating a solid old gate on our line is frequently far cheaper than replacing it, and we will tell you honestly when the metal is too far gone.
