Fitted Kitchens & Joinery
Made in Our Fujairah Carpentry Workshop

Kitchens, wardrobes and built-in joinery designed to your layout and built in-house — where carpentry started for Al Taher in 1984.

HomeServices › Fitted Kitchens and Joinery

Carpentry is where Al Taher began in 1984, and the joinery workshop still sits alongside the metal and glass shops in Al Hail. We design, build and install fitted kitchens, wardrobes, storage and built-in furniture across the UAE — measured to your actual walls, built to your layout, and installed by our own team. Where a design mixes materials — a steel-framed island, a marble worktop, glass cabinet fronts — those trades are in the same building rather than in three subcontractors' diaries.

How we work

  1. Free site visit within 48 hours — we measure the actual structure, not a drawing.
  2. Itemised quotation within 24 hours of the visit — materials, finish, hardware and installation priced line by line.
  3. Fabrication in our own Fujairah workshop — no subcontracting.
  4. Installation by our own team, with committed dates written into the quotation.

What do we build?

  • Fitted kitchens — cabinetry, tall units, islands and storage, designed to your layout and appliances.
  • Worktops — marble, granite, quartz and solid surface, templated after carcasses are set. Marble work →
  • Wardrobes and walk-ins — hinged, sliding and open systems with internal fit-outs.
  • Built-in storage and furniture — TV units, study desks, under-stair storage, majlis seating.
  • Doors and architraves — timber and WPC, matched to the joinery. Door systems →

What makes a kitchen last in the UAE?

Humidity and heat are what age a kitchen here. Carcass material and edge sealing decide whether doors stay true after a few summers; hardware quality decides whether drawers still run smoothly after a few thousand cycles. Those are the two places where a cheap kitchen reveals itself, and neither is visible in a showroom photo. We specify board and hardware to the room's exposure and tell you where spending more genuinely returns something.

How long does a kitchen take?

Typically 3–5 weeks from design approval to installation, depending on finish, worktop material and season. Worktops are templated after the carcasses are in, which adds a short stage but avoids the fitting problems that come from cutting stone to drawings. What a fitted kitchen costs in the UAE →

What does the design process look like?

It starts with how you cook, not with a catalogue. The first visit maps the room — water, drainage, gas, power and ventilation positions — and the conversation covers who cooks, how often, what appliances stay and what storage actually runs out first. From that we produce a layout drawing with elevations, and we iterate on it until it is right rather than pushing a standard module plan. Materials come next: carcass board specified to the room's humidity exposure, door finishes against real samples in your light, hardware you open and close in your own hand before committing. Only then is the quotation issued — itemised, so a finish upgrade or an extra tall unit is a visible line you can add or remove. Fabrication begins after a final site re-measure once tiling and MEP are done, because a kitchen built to a drawing rather than to the finished room is where fitted furniture goes wrong. Installation runs as one continuous phase, worktops are templated on the installed carcasses, and the job closes with a walkthrough — every hinge adjusted, every drawer aligned, every promise in the quotation checked off. Appliance integration is confirmed at drawing stage — cut-outs, ventilation clearances and power positions against the actual model numbers you have chosen, not generic sizes — so nothing is improvised on installation day. And where the kitchen opens onto living space, we align joinery finishes with the wider room: matching the island panels to a TV unit or bookshelf elsewhere is straightforward when both come from the same workshop and the same finishing batch.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a fitted kitchen cost in the UAE?

It follows carcass material, door finish, worktop and hardware more than size alone. We quote itemised so you can see what each element contributes and adjust before committing — delivered within 24 hours of the site visit.

How long does a fitted kitchen take?

Typically 3–5 weeks from design approval, depending on finishes and worktop material. Worktops are templated after cabinets are installed, so the stone fits the kitchen as built.

Can you match a kitchen to metalwork or marble elsewhere in the villa?

Yes — that is the advantage of running carpentry, metal fabrication and stone in one workshop. Finishes, powder-coat colours and stone can be matched across the kitchen, staircase and joinery rather than approximated by separate suppliers.

Do you build wardrobes and storage as well as kitchens?

Yes. Wardrobes, walk-in closets, TV units, study furniture and built-in storage are all made in the same joinery workshop and installed by the same team.

Can you renovate an existing kitchen rather than replace it?

Often, yes — replacing doors, worktops and hardware on sound carcasses transforms a kitchen at a fraction of full replacement cost. We assess the carcasses honestly during the visit: if they are swollen or failing we will recommend replacement, and if they are sound we will quote the renovation route.
